J. Edgar Movie

J Edgar Movie - J Edgar Hoover FilmDirector Clint Eastwood is working on J. Edgard, a biographical drama movie based on the life of J. Edgar Hoover, who was appointed director of the Bureau of Investigation (predecessor to the FBI) in 1924, and who was instrumental in founding the FBI in 1935, where he remained director until his death in 1972. Actor Leonardo DiCaprio got the lead role as J. Edgar Hoover. Filming is under way, so the movie will likely be released in 2012.

Here's a first look at Actor Leonardo DiCaprio as J Edgar Hoover:

Here's the cast of the movie J. Edgar:

- Leonardo DiCaprio as J. Edgar Hoover
- Armie Hammer as Clyde Tolson, a FBI agent best known as Hoover's protégé
- Naomi Watts as Helen Gandy, Hoover's secretary
- Damon Herriman as Bruno Hauptmann, an ex-convict who was sentenced to death for the abduction and murder of Charles Augustus Lindbergh Jr.
- Jeffrey Donovan as Robert F. Kennedy
- Judi Dench as Anna Marie, Hoover's mother
- Ed Westwick as Agent Smith, Hoover's biographer
- Josh Lucas as Charles Lindbergh
- Ken Howard as U.S. Attorney General Harlan F. Stone
- Stephen Root as Arthur Koehler, a wood expert who helped to close the investigation of the Lindbergh kidnapping

The plot of the movie J. Edgar hasn't been revealed yet, but from the cast it sounds like the Lindbergh kidnapping will be a big point in the film. Lindbergh's 20-month baby was abducted in 1932 and killed by Bruno Hauptmann. The trial became a key event in Hoover's early career.

From what I heard the film will also tackle Hoover's homosexual relationship with Clyde Tolson, DiCaprio and Armie Hammer have been indeed filming a kiss scene.

Anyway, more details about the movie J Edgar soon!
